Alex Zanardi's story represents the spirit needed to succeed in not just an endurance race, but life: curiosity, drive, and a commitment to keep going. Despite losing both of his legs in a 2001 crash, Zanardi was far from done with racing. With engineering and support from BMW, he returned for the 2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
Following his much-anticipated debut, we made this film to thank him for his return to motorsport.
This started out as a script I took directly to Rich Silverstein. I got to put this together with two kick-ass creative directors, Wes Phelan and Matt Edwards.
Not bad for my first official credits
